OpenCart 0.1.1 native preview candidate — public delivery pending

OpenCart 0.1.1 native preview candidate — public delivery pending

Tested on our OpenCart 4.1.0.4 fixture for anonymous visitors viewing reviewed Information-page bodies. This does not translate a whole store, certify other versions or themes, or make a marketplace app available. Ask for a compatibility review before a trial or payment.

Normal OpenCart Installer → Modules; reviewed Information bodies only

Set up the narrow OpenCart native preview

  1. Back up staging. Use an existing GoLocal website project, register the exact public host, and set the original authored language. Review every selected Information page in every native language. Use only the public project key; never an admin, database or provider secret.
  2. After the 0.1.1 package is explicitly released, keep its exact filename golocal.ocmod.zip. Do not extract or rename it. In OpenCart: Extensions → Installer → Upload; choose the ZIP, wait for upload success, then use the package Install action.
  3. Open Extensions → Extensions, choose Modules, find GoLocal! public editorial preview — 0.1.1-preview, then Install and Edit. Package installation and module installation are separate steps. A first module install starts disabled, with consent and scoped RTL off and no pages selected.
  4. Paste the public key, select only reviewed public editorial Information pages, grant Consent to process public text, set Status → Enabled, then Save. The scoped RTL checkbox is a separate optional choice. Test logged out on staging first. Do not add a second loader or edit the global theme footer.

Public 0.1.1 download is not enabled yet. Ask support for the reviewed candidate; do not substitute an older package.

Review my OpenCart site

Normal OpenCart Installer → Modules; reviewed Information bodies only

  • Extensions → Installer → Upload → Install
  • Extensions → Extensions → Modules → GoLocal! → Install → Edit
  • Public project key
  • Reviewed public editorial pages
  • Consent to process public text
  • Status → Enabled → Save
  • Enable scoped RTL text direction for eligible public editorial headings and paragraphs (preview)

Keep commerce and private content outside

Only the opted-in Information body is eligible. Product/catalogue text, prices, currency, cart, checkout, orders, accounts, admin/API, contact/search forms, legal policies and signed-in views stay outside. Never opt in customer records, reviews, comments, user-generated content (UGC), identifiers or commerce documents. Protect private containers before collection; editable values, form attributes and IDs stay unchanged. Menus, headers and footers remain native.

Scoped RTL is optional and off by default

Enable the scoped RTL checkbox only after reviewing every selected body and language. Only eligible simple headings and paragraphs receive direction; the store layout, header, footer, widget, forms and explicit directions are not mirrored. Unsupported or changed ID/direction/form markup fails closed. Restore a safe body and fully reload; do not force markers or bypass the guard.

Check saved corrections in a visible online tab

In Translation Editor, choose the exact project and source/target language pair. Save a correction for an existing phrase; keep the storefront tab visible and online and allow a polling interval. Check both eligible occurrences, restore the saved wording and check both again without reloading. This is polling, not SSE or instant push. A repeated warm visit should reuse cached phrases rather than request fresh AI translation.

Verify your own staging site

Switch languages and return to the original. Check a reviewed guest Information body, typed values, IDs, private/commerce routes, consent off, Status Disabled, optional RTL and a warm revisit. Our fixture checks are narrow evidence, not full-store, mobile/theme/accessibility or independent-customer acceptance.

Disable and recover through native controls

Set Status → Disabled and Save, then fully reload open pages. Extensions → Extensions → Modules → Uninstall removes the event while retaining the key and page selections for recovery. Reinstall starts disabled with consent and scoped RTL off: review and opt in again. Do not use Installer Delete as a pause or overwrite an older ZIP. Uninstalling does not cancel the separate GoLocal subscription or delete saved translations.
