How to Translate a Bubble.io App with GoLocal!

GoLocal! Team·

Connect the free Bubble plugin, protect user data, and test a multilingual Bubble app.

1. Create the project

Create a project in the GoLocal dashboard, add the Bubble app domain, choose the source language and select target languages.

2. Install the free plugin

Add the main GoLocal element to the required pages and enter the project API key. Keep target_language empty when the language widget controls the active language.

3. Protect user content

Do not translate editable or user-generated data. Use exclusion selectors, data-tr-skip, translate="no" or the notranslate class for names, rich-text editors and repeating-group values.

4. Handle database-backed searches

Use GoLocal Query only when a Bubble condition or filter must compare a translated query with a fixed value stored in the source language. Prefer unique IDs and object references over text comparisons.

5. Test before release

Test navigation, popups, repeating groups, inputs, rich-text editors, dropdowns, saved values and language persistence before publishing.
